Yup. Tomorrow is the last day of November and then the Christmas countdown starts. Yay Santa!
I have very good news! I have over $200 dollars so far for Toonies For Twins. The bookmarks are still going great, the Trebelmakers winter concert is on Sunday, which means we are going to have the raffle very soon! (any donations are sill welcomed). We are also hosting a fun/craft/game/AWESOME day on December 11th for kids five to ten years old. If you are considering, please e-mail me at keirawatters@hotmail.com. All proceeds will be going to Toonies For Twins, but we need more kids for this to work so please sign up! It gives Parents a chance to get some shopping done while the kids are having fun or you can just go do some relaxing;) Give me a shout :)
Thanks everybody. Hapy holidays!

For Brennan
I know this has nothing to do with Toonies For Twins, but I need to do this, I need to put this here, for everyone to remember.
On november 9th, a boy at my school, Brennan McCartnrey, commited suicide. It was a shock to everyone, and every day, I still see people sobbing in the halways. Brennan was a trumpet major in the music program, he was on the rugby team, he took two girls to prom because they didnt have dates. He was on my bus, he lived a couple streets away from me, he was in my department at school (music), and even though I never knew him, its still hard to think that Im alive while one of my peers, a boy who lived in my town, is dead. I will look at things out the window of the bus, things that he once looked at too, I will walk down the halways at school and sit in clasroooms where he once walked and sat in too. But, unfortunatly, he never will again.
Brennan was a boy who coulnt see any other way out, a way to get past his misery. He will be sorely missed with heavy hearts.
In the words of Rasal Flats, why did you leave the stage in the middle of the song, Brennan? Who ever told you life wasnt worth the fight? They were wrong, they lied. Now your gone, and we cry. 'Cause its not like you to walk away in the middle of a song.
This ones for you, Brennan. Rest easy.

Good Things Are Happening!
Hello there. Lots of things have been happening lately that I feel should be made public. First of all, I have started making and selling these beaded bookmarks and have made over a hundred dollars on them alone. This has turned out to be a very effective way of fundraising and is going far better than I ever hoped for. Yay! Right now we are sitting at about $150, which is a pretty good start. Yay readers!
For anyone who was keeping track from last year, the local choir The Trebelmakers (which I have now been officially booted from because Im 'too old') has decided to sponsor Toonies For Twins again this year. This was a really good thing last time and they really helped with fundraising. The kids this year are even more into it than they were last time! There is going to be a raffle at the winter concert and if anyone has anything to donate, it would be greatly apreciated. Thank you Trebelmakers!
I think thats all for now. If anyone has any ideas for fundraising or wants to donate just send me a message

Happy Birthday!
Today is Tatiana and Kristas 4th birthday! This is a big milestone for conjoined twins, especially when doctors say they might not survive at all. I want everyone to make a wish for the girls and if you need a little inspiration, just look their way.
Happy Birthday Girls!

A new Beginning
Hi. Its been a year, and to tell the truth, I have been putting this off for quite a while now because I am upset with myself for not doing anything last year. High school was a bit of a sensory overload for me, too many changes happening all at once. I needed some time to get back on my feet. Since I last wrote anything here, my braces have come off, and retainers have come in their place, I made some really great friends and lost some equally great ones as well. I got an 80 in math ( by the skin of my teeth) and passed all my exams. My hair got chopped off again, and I spent a wonderfull summer in Ireland with my extended family. One of the most earth-shattering changes came when I learned that Emma and Taylor Bailey, the twins I had decided last year to fund-raise for, had passed away. They will be sorely misses by all, gone but never forgotten.
With Emma and Taylor's memory burning brightly, and fiercly in our hearts, this year we have decided to help a family a little closer to home. Tatiana and Krista Hogan live in Vernon, British Columbia. The girls are craniopagus conjoined twins, which means tat they are joined at the head and in this case, can never be seperated. But from what I have seen and heard of these soon-to-be four-year-olds, they are probably the happiest girls in the world, with a family who loves them dearly and a promise that no matter how hard things get, they will never be alone. Lets help them, like we helped Erin, make things even a little bit easier. The goal this year is five thousand folks, lets do for Tatiana and Krista what we would have done for Emma and Taylor. I know we can.
If you read back a few posts, you'll probably remember the reference I made to having two families in mind. Those families were the Hogan's and the Bailey's. I will always wonder what would have happened had I continued last year, but since I will never know, I am dedicating this years efforts to Emma and Taylor. Please, always keep a special place in your hearts for these girls, for they were gone too soon. But also keep a special place in your hearts for Tatiana and Krista, for they live life to its fullest every single day.
